blog-sary
i was exploring my blogspot, wondering if i am going to make some changes, and then i noticed that it has been a year since i started blogging. Actually, when i checked, it was last month when i should have "celebrated" my first anniversary. As i looked at the archives, i found out that after the first entry, it took me one month to do another one, and after that, the next entry was March 2006, and so on. There were months that i had no entry, and when i got lucky, i had one entry (sigh)It was during September, when i resurrected myself to blogging, and since then, i think i did quite alright in updating entries (c'mon guys, give this to me, from a no-entry-in-a-month to one-entry-in-a-month, i made progress!) I gave it a new look, tried to make as much entries as possible, learned how to put images, and now videos! yehey! (thanks to my very helpful friends!)
i've also read many blogs. The first blog i read was that of the polsci block batch 96 of UP Manila, beyondfencing. I was even part of the blog, but i never contributed to the site (wala tlga kong kwentang blogger). I also came across ronibats, an INTARMED student of UP who is a prolific writer on his experiences as a med student. then i came across cofibean who, to use his words "Certified glitterati from Makati. A commoner of all the chichi places. Simply suave and primo. The envy of many. Adonishingly fantasmo... Yep. That's me pare. Motto: "Make Poverty History!" -- I hate the baho masa / orcs. Obliterate them all!"! Ganda di ba? This is where i read the most nastiest (yup, i exaggerated to emphasize a point, try to read it and you'll understand why i had to make a double superlative) comments in the blogosphere. Right now, i have lost count of the many blogs i have read.
The information in blogs are just endless. Blogs give ideas on what products to use (especially kikay products), where to go, what to eat, what to order, how much is the food. They also allow the readers to take a peek in the heart and soul of people as they write their experiences and the various events in their life, however big or small - heart aches, happy moments, wild thoughts, angst in life. ( a lot of people use blogging as a therapy) Blogging is also an avenue to meet people and expand the network of friends, business partners, or sometimes even foes! (hehehe!)
hay, after one year, i am just happy that i am able to blog more often now and i am able to read very informative, insightful and funny blogs. it showed me how big the world is, and it's just waiting for me to explore, that there's so many things to do, many places to go and many people to meet! ah.... La Vita e Bella!
I hope someday, my children, and my children's children will get to read these entries so they can say "Granny had nothing to do before!" Hehehe! Just kidding! Here's to more years of blogging!!! Cheers!
successful video posting
Yes! Yes! Yes! i have successfully posted a video of Taufik in my blog. see, i started the entry november 6 and just finished it today (pardon my ignorance please! wink!) Thanks so much candice for teaching me! You're a life-saver :0)Monday, November 13, 2006
help!
i have been keeping an entry on my fondness to Taufik (yes, it's just never-ending!) but can't seem to finish it. I wanted to post a video i found from youtube on his defensive move during the 2006 IBF World Championship in Madrid where he was up against Cheng Hung of China (unfortunately, Taufik lost this game 2 sets to 1 (sob!) but it was a great match). So, if there's anyone out there who's willing to help an amateur blogger, i'd really appreaciate it! thanks in advance! ;0)

the defensive taufik
i am a self-confessed badminton addict. i am not only hooked to playing the game, but watching it too. lately, i think i can not over-emphasize my "fondness" to taufik hidayat (fondness? i love him! hahaha!) from my computer, celfone wall paper to friendster picture to blog entries, he's definitely there.this fondness reached a different level. I am now in search of any thing about him, videos of his games, photos, badminton shirts with his name on it ( am a fan!). I also learned that he launched a book on his biography, but was not available in English. (Kuya Jimmi, help on the translation please!) Likewise, in my search, i came across youtube (thanks Carl for the suggestion!) There were some videos of Taufik's games as well as those of other badminton players. However, after looking at all the list, i can't find his Athens Olympics games where Taufik won the Gold. I actually came across ahtat who uploaded many badminton videos. i actually wrote him and inquired about the athens videos, but he has not replied yet (sob) hopefully, he'll respond to my query and hopefully he has those videos.
anyhow, here's a video showing the great defense move of taufik where he defended a smash by cheng hung. according to the commentator, it was "outrageous" and "naughty" ;0)
