lost in the parking
yes, i was literally lost in the parking of the office. i usually park xyrille in the basement, especially during the summer, when the heat was simply untolerable. the basement has limited parking, and since i always arrive early in the office (i give my mother a ride every morning), i can avail of a slot in the basement. the other day, i arrived a little bit late than the usual, because i was caught up in traffic in guadalupe. so i parked outside. there is space in the office, and parking is really not a problem. however, i had to chose where there is some shade for xyrille.
in the middle of the day, i had to get something from the car. so i went out with my keys, but the moment i stepped foot on the area where i thought i parked the car, it was nowhere to be found. so i made a couple of steps to look for xyrille but can't find her!!!! i pressed on the alarm hoping that it will make sound and therefore help me find her (just like when you are looking for your phone and you ask somebody to ring it for you), but i just couldn't! (this is sooo silly of me!) so i went back to where i started, i looked again. Gosh! it took me a good 7 minutes to find her! hahaha! lost lost lost! ;-) and found ;-)
smile ;-)
have you ever caught yourself smiling all day? or just giggle because a thought just popped in your head? and no matter how hard you try to "compose" yourself, the smile is just liked glued ( using the best adhesive in town!) on your face the whole day! your adrenaline is pumping and you get all excited about everything! you are extra patient with things that would normally raise your eyebrows to a 90-degree angle? you think that the sky is bluer than before, that life is a huge bed of beautiful roses (without the thorns) and you just simply glow! thanks Red Cape! You're more than a man in a silly red sheet ;-)
Level A! ;0)
i seldom join badminton tournaments. although i am a self-confessed badminton addict, i am not very keen on tournaments. (kasi naman mahal ng tournament fees! ; ( they usualy cost 700 and up) but to have some competitive spirit in the game, i usually join dual meets with other companies or in-house tournaments.
last may 5, i joined the mixed doubles tournament of the adb badminton club. i have a constant mixed doubles partner edwin. we have played together during past dual meets and in house tournaments. we know each other's game, and if i may say, we have a good rapport in the court. we usually play side by side, because i am not comfortable in a front-back game(especially when i am in the front! though i am trying to practice more to be in the front now).
edwin and i are usually leveled "B" during tournaments. this time however, we were leveled "A". Does that mean we improved as a pair? or that there was misleveling? hehehe! whatever, i just feel good that once in my badminton addiction, i was leveled A. ;-) and below is a certificate to prove! hahaha!
and then superman landed
the usual "she looks at him, he looks at her"... constantly crossing each other in the hallways of the maze ... the unexpected interaction over a glass of water, toasted bread with butter and coffee ... the exchange of good morning... the stare on the ID... the offering of the infamous nickname if only to hide the real name... the apology on the email that went to become an all afternoon exchange of wit and smileys... the dreaded question of "why would you want to know my name?".... the confession... the flattery.... and the invitation for coffee... the man of steel landed my way ;0)
